Uncasville- Clarence "Birdie" Bordeau, of Leffingwell Rd., passed away May 10, 2017 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 25, 1929 in Montville, the son of the late Jerimiah and Roseanna (VerBoncoeur) Bordeau.
He was married to the late Ann Hill Bordeau for 66 years until her passing on February 3, 2015.
He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.
He belonged to the Teamsters Union for 40 years and retired in 1991 from the Schnip Company, where he worked for 42 years as shop superintendent....

He was married to the late Ann Hill Bordeau for 66 years until her passing on February 3, 2015.
He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.
He belonged to the Teamsters Union for 40 years and retired in 1991 from the Schnip Company, where he worked for 42 years as shop superintendent. After retiring, he worked with his son Scott in the family business, Bordeau Excavating and Trucking. He was also proprietor of Old Barn Ceramic Studio.
He loved driving his truck, going to the Waterford Speedbowl and watching NASCAR, Red Sox, UCONN Huskies girls basketball. He enjoyed working in his yard, cats and spending time at the lake.
He is survived by his son Scott Bordeau, daughter Nancy Bordeau, 2 sisters Lorraine Ruth Cote and husband Richard, Shirley Malinowsky and husband Anthony, sister in law Elizabeth Bordeau, by 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister Irene Ryan and brother William Bodeau.
Calling hours will be held at the Labenski Funeral Home in Norwich on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral home service will be held Tuesday at the Labenski Funeral Home at 11 am. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich.
